THEN AND NOW COMPOSITES | 20 Images

Using elements from my photos, I allow my artistic eye to integrate the past and present without judging either. This project was begun in April 2019 when the chronic progressive multiple sclerosis with which I had lived for 31 years moved to a new level causing significant changes in my day-to-day life. The creative evolution of these composites and collages has reflected a growing acceptance of what has become my new normal.

Instead of continuing to focus on the physical challenges I face, the images have become more and more abstract. Time and artistic engagement are healing the fractures between my past life and the present.
